Digitel March Madness Contest 2009 Results

Thanks for playing the Digitel March Madness Contest!  Wow, what a tournament and the sports writers were right back in October when they made UNC a consensus #1.

Now to the top prize winners.  It was strange that all our customer grand prize winners picked UNC to win but no one had Michigan State to be in the Championship Game.  The tie breaker had to be invoked for the top 2 spots then again for third place.  The tie breaker for these prizes was your prognostication concerning the total points scored by both teams in the Championship Game. The championship game point total was 161, so the entry closest to this total breaks the tie.
